Witch Hunts

2006-01-31 [Bookwyrm]: Let's see. Where can I begin...the witch hunts had nothing to do with Wicca to begin with...so may I ask why it's here? And...also...research the subject a little better before you write about it. Witch hunts were mostly a way to get money and property for the church and for the accuser, they really didn't seem too worried about witchcraft at all. They just wanted the victim's property. And...did you write this yourself? Because I commend you for being able to spell propagated correctly...and yet you can't spell "people" correctly. Europe should be capatilized, "away" should be "a way", obviously you spelled people incorrectly..."Why?Because" there should be a space somewhere in there...

2006-01-31 [Bookwyrm]: Oh and "Christan" is not only spelled incorrectly but I believe should be capatilized, "enganed" I suppose whould be "engaged". "Honour" does not have three o's, yet again Christian is spelled incorrectly. Europe...yet again not capatilized, "thekind" should be a space between the two words. And there you go ^-^ That should help.

2006-02-13 [Bookwyrm]: x_x It has nothing to do with real witches. It is a Christian/Catholic concept. It was a way for the church (and the accusers) to get rich quick. They claimed that someone was a witch/was hurting the village/town, etc. and when the person was killed they got that person's money and property. It has nothing to do with witchcraft. It has become a way for fake witches and Wiccans who are just looking for a reason to hate Christianity to have a "real reason" to insult that religion. "Emo-witches" are also given a "reason" to shout "YOU CAN'T BURN ME AT THE STAKE", etc etc and make themselves look stupid in front of real witches. Yet again, it has nothing to do with witchcraft.
